About
Hunger Action Heroes Unite! is an inspirational story that follows journalist Julie Wilson, who transforms into the superhero Demeter after her cat shows her a portal into another universe. She joins Hunger Halter on a mission to save good food from going to waste so it can be given to people facing hunger. Along the way, readers discover how hunger affects health, how food waste harms the environment, and how empathy and personal action can empower them to help their community.
Our curriculum takes this story beyond the page and into classrooms. Students learn through interactive activities and project-based learning that enables them to become real-life Hunger Action Heroes in their own communities.
